The following information should give you a sense of our spring program, but please be aware that the information below is subject to change.

General Information
Haverford Blaze Lacrosse is a competitive, travel lacrosse program that offers teams for Girls in grades 5-8 and Boys grades 3-8 grades. The Girls teams compete in the Philadelphia Area Girls' Lacrosse Association (PAGLA) and the Boys teams compete in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse Association (SEPYLA).

We also have a House League for boys in Kindergarten through 2nd grade--click here for more information on this program.

IMPORTANT: According to PAGLA & SEPYLA rules, only Haverford Township residents are eligible to play for Haverford Blaze Lacrosse. If you are not a Haverford Township resident and your township offers a youth lacrosse program, you must obtain a waiver from your league before you can register for Blaze lacrosse.

Financial Aid is Available!  Please submit requests to  info@blazelax.com.

Registration
All registrations are taken on-line.

  • In addition to the registration fee, each player will have to purchase a game jersey and game shorts for about which they keep at the end of the year. In most instances, if a player has a jersey and shorts from a previous season he will be able to use them again.
  • Registration is limited and an on a first-come-first-serve basis.  However, Haverford Blaze Lacrosse reserves the right to contravene this policy (with a majority Board vote) in the event that we deem it is in the best interest of a player or the Blaze organization. Once we meet our age-group quotas, we will start a wait list. Teams will be added assuming we have enough players and coaches to staff the teams.
  • There is no guarantee that your son will play with a specific coach or that he will have his friends on his team.
  • Refunds will be provided prior to the close of registration with no questions asked.  After registration closes, refunds require Board approval.

Practice Schedule
Practices begin in very late February or early March. Most teams practice two to three days a week, and the practices last from 1.5 to 2.0 hours.

Home Games
Most home games will be played at The Haverford Reserve or Lynnewood Elementary School field. They will be scheduled on weekends beginning the last weekend in March.

Away Games
Away games are usually played within a 10-mile radius of Havertown. However, some away games are played in Northern Delaware and Bucks County.
