Volunteer Information

We need volunteers to assist with our program!  We need help with coaching, communication (phone calls, emails, etc.), game administration, fundraising, and many other activites.  Don’t know much about lacrosse?  Don’t worry…we’ll train you!

Listed below is an explanation of some of the areas in which parents are needed:

Head Coach -- Responsible for teaching the players the game of lacrosse, running practices, coaching games, and ensuring that Blaze policies are followed. Commitment involves 2 practices per week and games on weekends.

Assistant Coach -- Assist Head Coach at practices and games.  Lead drills at practices and help with substitutions at games.  Commitment involves 2 practices per week and games on weekends.

Team Parent -- Handles team communication.  Prepare email list, distribute information regarding schedules, game locations, directions, changes, and cancellations.  Commitment involves team communication, assigning parents to keep score and time during games.

Coaching Coordinator -- Recruit  coaches and serve as the liason between the coaches and the Board of Directors.

Fundraising Coordinator -- Help with various fundraising events.  Assist with Beef & Beer organization, End-of-Year party, raffles, etc.

Equipment Coordinator -- Help procure, organize, and distribute team equipment (goalie sticks, first-aid kits, cones, keys, ball, etc.).  Ensure that fields are lined and that they are properly set-up for home games (e.g., cones, scoring table, horns, etc.).
